Hans' Personal Page

If you have any questions, mail me: hans@gardensafari.nl

1 Why this page?

I have made these Garden Safari Pages because I adore the wild life in our garden. The main pages have a standard look and feel. The additional pages dealing with the separate species are still divided into three groups. The butterflies and some other groups have a modern design. The information about these species is on the page dealing with the separate species. The beetles and some other groups have the older design. The pages about separate species contain pictures only and no information. These pages are slowly converted to the new standard. The pages about birds are pages made in the previous century. The information has not been changed since, the pages have only been given the currently applicable colour scheme.

2 Photographs

All photographs were taken in our garden by ourselves. Some were taken outside the garden. It will say so in the caption. This also means that we own all copyrights, so don't use any picture without asking our permission to do so. The photographs were taken by a Nikon FA or by our newer digital cameras, the Nikon Coolpix 990 or the Nikon D100. The stronghold of the 990 is taking macro pictures. All our pictures are available for publication. Contact us for prices and conditions.

3 Hania's pages

Hania also made some pages for herself. They deal with her greatest passion: photography. You can see some pictures from Holland (e.g. Rotterdam and Zutphen), Germany (e.g. Bad Bentheim, Cologne and Tecklenburg), China, Malaysia, Thailand and the USA (e.g. Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Yosemite and San Francisco).

Click on the camera to be taken to Hania's Personal Page.

4 Technical details on the Gardensafari pages

All pages have been made using Note Tab Light 4.95. They have been tested on FireFox and Internet Explorer. They should be fine in almost all modern browsers, as all html programming is in accordance with the instructions of the W3C. The pages can be viewed on most monitors, using a display of 800 x 600 or up. We no longer support resolutions of 640 X 480 or below. Frames are not used, javascript is. All pictures are .gif or .jpg, so no problems there. The sounds on the bird pages are in compressed wave and can be made audible by any wav/mp3 player, such as WinAmp, Windows Media Player or by using Real Audio. All main pages have a bar in top and entrance to our internal search engine near the bottom in order to make navigation easy.

5 Picture of the week

In August 2005 we have introduced our 'Photo of the Week'. This can be found on our indexpages, the search result pages and here:
