Blunt-tailed Snake Millipede Cylindroiulus punctatus

The Blunt-tailed Snake Millipede is a slowly moving species. It is clearly puntuated, just like the scientific name suggests. But it is not always easy to see the dots. Lives inside trees or just under the bark. The animal lives for a long time. It takes the female three years before depositing their first eggs! This species is seen in gardens sometimes, but actually prefers woodlands. Not uncommon in Britain.
