The Common Moorhen is a very common bird in parks too. But not in parks only, it also is common along other fresh water reservoirs. The Common Moorhen looks like the Common Coot. The Common Moorhen however has a red beak and a red spot on the head. In the Common Coot both are white. The animal in the upper pictures lacks the red beak, characteristic for the species. This is because it is a juvenile. More about this species in the near future.
