Orange Ladybird Halyzia sedecimguttata
For obvious reasons this ladybird is called the Orange Ladybird. It is a common species of woodlands and both larvae and adults feed on mildew. The colour is a rather striking orange indeed. Usually there are 16 creamy white spots. This species is common all over Europe, including most parts of the British Isles.
